Dwarf Slayer Cult - Work in Progress

My favourite fantasy race is, without doubt, dwarves.  I played Treasure Hunters in my last campaign but am keen to try something a little different this time around.  You cannot get more grimdark than Slayers, so I am going to give the Dwarf Slayer Cult a go...

Giant Slayer & Rememberer:

I'm not sure there are many better dwarf sculpts out there than Scibor?  I've been using them exclusively for my last few dwarf warbands and every time I go on their site there are more awesome minis available! I've added a new hilt to the Rememberer's sword and added a tome from the GW Flagellants kit.  I've also added a tiny brass dwarf rune from Greenstuff World to the front of the tome.

All the models in this warband are mounted on the square 'Dungeon Stone' resin bases from Back 2 Base-ix.

Doomseekers:

The Whirling Blades are bit of a challenge to model.  I was originally going to use jewelry chain but wasn't going to be able to get the dynamic pose I wanted.  In the end I borrowed from the GW Flagellant kit.  I am especially happy with how the guy on the right turned out and can't wait to paint him - I am thinking trails of blood coming of the blades and blood spatter all over the slayer!

Halfling Scout & Ogre Bodyguard:

Another couple of Scibor sculpts here - a gnome and an ogre.  I'm new to greenstuff, but I had a go at sculpting some sideburns and hair on the halfling, added a handle to his helmet (so it looks like a pot) and created a leg of ham to go on his back.  His bow is made from GW Bestigor horns.  I've also added an arrow quiver and stein from a North Star Dwarf sprue.

I love the Scibor Ogre range - they are really characterful!  This guy's job will be to protect the Halfling Scout and the Rememberer while the slayers seek their doom.

Henchmen Groups:

More Scibor dwarves here.  From this pool I should be able to get my Axe Hurlers, Troll Slayers and Stubbles.  Given they are capped at 12 members in the warband, this should be more than enough for a campaign.

Backstory and painted minis on the way!!
