Dwarf Treasure Hunters - Work in Progress

With low motivation to paint at the moment I've been focusing my time on building more warbands.  I am currently working on some dockside boards for my new Mordheim table complete with a boat, which got me thinking about maritime themed warbands I could pull together.  The first of these is a group of dwarf Treasure Hunters from Barak Varr.  This gave me an excuse to check out the Scibor pirate dwarf range!

Noble and Engineer:

For my heroes I've tried to steer away from the more 'piratey' sculpts - they are a noble and engineer after all.  It feels wrong to have dwarves who aren't equipped with axes, hammers or both, but cutlasses it is for this crew.  I've done some very simple planking bases for both using coffee stir sticks.

Slayers:
I have a ton of slayer models lying around including a few leftover from my slayer cult.  I really like the guy on the left - no mohawk when you are bald.  He looks really laid back whereas his compatriot on the right looks nervous and on edge.

Henchman:
First up I have three spearmen.  The first is really just a fisherman, but he can use his fishing [gaff??].  The others have more of a Norse warrior vibe.  My plan would be to play these as either clansmen or beardlings.

Look at these ruffians!  These are among my favorite sculpts in the entire warband. Billowing long cloaks, cutlasses, bandanas!  I'm planning on using these guys as thunderers given they are all equipped with blackpowder weapons.

Another group with hand weapons which I'll play as clansmen and beardlings.  Again there is a mix of overtly piratey sculpts along with more norse themed minis, but they all have a very maritime feel.

Hired Swords:
I've also based up a mercenary ogre ready to go.  I have an old halfling which I am planning on stripping and repainting which will also be painted up with this bunch.

I've got heaps of other warbands on the go at the moment - some Shadow Warriors, a Cult of the Possessed, Undead, Bretonnians and Witch Hunters.  I'm also considering a mercenary warband, maybe Marienburgers? But my main priority is getting some new terrain built.
